In 2022, I participated in an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Programme in Estonia. A year later, I received a message from the Estonian organiser asking for my address. I sent it to her, and she told me why it was needed: she would post the letter I had written to myself a year earlier, on the closing day of the programme. Since then, I have, of course, forgotten not only what I wrote, but that there was such a task at all. Then I forgot about it again, until a neighbour asked me if the letter in our shared mailbox from somewhere abroad was waiting for me. I confess I rarely check the mailbox, because, after all, who still does their correspondence on paper in the 21st century?! Especially from abroad?! Well, it was my letter from Estonia. As curious as I was to open it, as was it a heart-warming read. In the letter, I reminded myself of the experience of leading a playful self-discovery workshop for Estonian high school students, and promised myself that when I get home, I would follow a life coach course and help others in the field of self-awareness. A year later, reading the letter, I was indeed preparing for my thesis in coaching and had already conducted several self-discovery board game workshops in Budapest. I started on my journey and began to help others by running individual sessions as well as group events. Based on my own feelings and the feedback from others, I am positive that it was the right move.
